Alysia B. Kozlowski

Workers’ compensation involves nuanced cases at the intersection of law and medicine. I assist employers through detailed analyses of cases, help them understand their legal obligations, and identify opportunities for more effective claims’ management.

Attorney Alysia Kozlowski counsels, advises, and defends employers in workers’ compensation matters.  Her practice includes claims litigation, administrative hearings, and trials.  She brings to the firm experience not only in workers’ compensation law, but additionally in insurance defense and insurance coverage issues.

Alysia first became interested in workers’ compensation defense while in law school, based upon her interest in both the law and medicine.  Shortly after graduation, she became in-house counsel for a workers’ compensation insurance company in her home state of West Virginia where she gained experience litigating claims and developing strategies for effective claims management.

While in the Pacific Northwest on vacation, she fell in love with the local scenery and outdoor recreational opportunities.  Subsequently, she and her husband decided to relocate to Portland, and in 2020 she joined the firm.

Away from the office, Alysia enjoys exploring the Pacific Northwest, including trail running, hiking, and kayaking in the summers.  Alysia is also a diehard West Virginia Mountaineers’ fan, and enjoys following Mountaineers’ sports.
