Joseph A. Pickels
Joseph Pickels is an Attorney with Wallace, Klor, Mann, Capener & Bishop focused on workers’ compensation employer defense and general business litigation matters.
Workers’ compensation law is intended to benefit not only injured workers, but also employers by proving increased certainty around the benefits to be provided. My role as a workers’ compensation defense attorney is to advise clients as to the types of matters that they will, and will not, be liable, for a given case, and to help them in portfolio minimization efforts to help better control costs.
Joseph brings to the firm an outstanding record of oral and appellate advocacy.
At the firm, Joseph enjoys the meticulous work that is often required in preparing workers’ compensation status reports and case briefs. He particularly enjoys the process of legal drafting and advocating on behalf of clients.
Joseph is originally from Yuma, Arizona. After graduating from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Joseph pursued an interest in living in the Pacific Northwest through attending Willamette University College of Law. In his third year, Joseph was named Willamette Law’s “Oral Advocate of the Year.” While he is likely among the few who profess to missing the heat of Arizona summers, in his free time, Joseph can be found on the golf course or cheering on Arizona sports teams.
