Overview

L. Benjamin Allen

Over the long-term, a collaborative approach to litigation will typically produce better results for everyone involved than a “pit bull” approach.  My focus is on determining what parties need, rather than what they say that they want, and using that to produce equitable results that the parties can live with.

Attorney Ben Allen’s practice is focused on workers’ compensation law.  Ben is also an experienced employer’s rights and insurance attorney, and brings to the firm substantial litigation experience.

Before joining the firm, Ben’s practice included construction defect litigation, products liability, insurance defense in motor vehicle collisions. As a Deputy Attorney General for the State of New Jersey, Ben litigated workplace discrimination, harassment and child abuse and neglect matters for several years.

Ben believes that it is in the interest of employees and employers to make workplaces safe and productive.  In workers’ compensation claims and litigation, Ben helps clients develop creative solutions when possible that will be beneficial not only for the immediate case at hand, but also for the long-term.

Ben is a Yakima native and lives near downtown Portland.  When not practicing law, he enjoys exploring local restaurants and the Portland outdoor entertainment scene with his wife and dog.
